Is the Aurora AAC app really free to use?

Aurora AAC is free because communication is a human right — not a product.

Too many families lose access to a voice the moment they leave school, therapy, or hospital simply because the tools that help them speak are locked behind subscriptions, expensive devices, or endless upgrades. We refuse to be part of that.

 • We don’t want to track you, analyse you, or advertise to you.

We built Aurora AAC so children and adults can communicate freely, safely, and with dignity — without worrying about cost, accounts, or privacy. There are no ads, no analytics, no hidden data collection. We don’t sell anything, and we don’t plan to.
Our goal is simple:

To give every person a voice that never disappears, no matter their income, device, or situation.

Aurora AAC exists because silence shouldn’t be the result of money or technology.

Will the app work on my (current) phone or tablet?

Aurora AAC isn’t built for one type of device or one type of person — it’s built for real families, real lives, and the technology they already have. You don’t need an expensive iPad or specialist hardware to communicate. The app works on Android phones, Android tablets, iPhones, and iPads — because most families already own one of these, and that should be enough.
And we’re not stopping there.

We’re already planning versions for Windows and Mac, so your voice can follow you everywhere: at home, at school, at work, or on the go.

Does the app collect any personal data or track me?

No. Aurora AAC collects absolutely no personal data — not your name, not your email, not your device information, nothing at all. We don’t track you, we don’t analyse you, and we don’t follow what you do inside the app. There are no ads, no analytics, no hidden scripts quietly watching you.

Why?

We didn’t build Aurora AAC to make money or gather data. We built it so children and adults could communicate freely, privately, and with dignity — without worrying about who is watching or what is being collected.
